Mr2 parts have come in

So this was a surprise as it was as fun as I ordered some misc things from a wholesale list at rockautoparts.com, where they occasionally list stuff at dirt cheap.prices and I ordered a few items off the list,  but totally failed to retain that memory and Bam!!! Boxes at my door like a kid on Christmas , it wasn't until I opened It that I remembered , so fun video check it out guys Mr2 parts video here

ITS BEEN AWHILE

 I would love to not have excuses but video is very demanding but I see this blog is still being viewed by many and i will try to idea dump here as much as well I am always ;looking to just clear and concise my thoughts and this blog has just been on the back burner for me , thanks to people that still read this blog and i will do what i can to update this more regularly 

PROJECT UPDATE JUNE 2019

Its been awhile since i have updated this but its been real great time on the channel and i have some exciting news on a new project.

we have had a 92 jeep wrangler with a already swapped Chevrolet 350 cubic inch from the early 1990's and its about to be ls swapped yeah i know ls swaps have been done time and time again but its a relatively easy swap and im exited to do it. we scored a 2000 Chevrolet silverado 2500 with a 6 liter vortec block so its going to be a fun swap and add some flare to the wrangler.
but more on that later.

i did a really fast paint job on the mr2 5 speed trans, it was ugly and i couldn't stand it so here is the video of the fun little process.

So i have had a hard time finding concrete information on the net for finding spark plug order to diagnose misfires and catalytic converter codes for fuel trims and other identifiers so i made a video going over bank location and converter numbers and spark plug locations.

CRC Direct injection cleaning

If you have been involved with modern car repair in the last 5 years or so you no doubt have heard of the direct injection engine. Direct injection engines are great for fuel economy and controlling proper fueling on turbocharged engines and regular naturally aspirated engines alike. The draw back is fuel is no longer passing by your engine valves and in result is not cleaning your intake valves and a huge amount of build up from carbon begins to form on the valve and over time it builds up and robs the engine of power.

Its an unfortunate side affect that opens up another area of maintenance that is needed. if it is prolonged then the engine gets build up and more tear down and labor is needed to fix.
I recently made a video highlighting a product i use too alleviate the symptom although some vehicles require more treatments if it is a new customer i usually sell them a package deal of five services with in fifteen days along with a oil change . this gets enough caustic chemicals to get that nasty dirty carbon off those valves. and avoids expensive maintenance  of removing the intake to get to valves.  the product is CRC GDI IVD  intake valve cleaner here is a video showing it in use and in depth results are in the works to show you just how good it works

so i got new shop space

man oh man, i finally got my own shop space and its amazing to feel home. i have lots to do as far as electrical and getting stuff in order to bring home my project mr2. but its going to mean bringing up some stuff and doing it right. cant say enough how excited i am but here is a little video to show you around the new place
