Chrysler Transmission control solenoid pack replacment

So its been known for awhile that the transmission control solenoid pack has been an issue throughout the years of the 4 speed transmission in the Dodge Neon and Dodge Caravans,Grand Caravan, and subsequent Town & Country models. The repair is pretty straight forward but some think its a fix all for transmission problems and it is if they are leaking, many replace the trans pan gasket to try and fix what they believe is leaking. many times the solenoid pack is leaking and it will actually some times and it gets up through the connector. when this happens issue definitely arise and they are not so fun to diagnose sometimes showing p0751,p0755 which is transmission fluid pressure sensor, and general solenoid failure. although this is not the only cause of these codes to BE VERY CAUTIOUS IN YOUR DIAGNOSIS. If you have a high pitch wine while you drive that only is increasing while in forward moving gear you have internal issues with the pump. and this can cause shift issues and so on. but if you can see the fluid leaking from the trans control solenoid its a necessary replacement. many people shotgun these parts to solve shift issues but there is more to diagnosis. Ive seen also many issues arise with the Transmission control module is a likely culprit with issues as well but to really be honest these are best to be diagnosed by a transmission shop or dealer to at least figure out what you need to replace as they have the expensive scan tool to see what the module is doing and communicating to its parts and see the data and pressures to correctly diagnose these issues.
with this being said you change this part at your own risk and i hope you find the information informative.
