nitrogen in your tires

so i have had a few people ask me about putting nitrogen in your tires and is there really many benefits? . well to many people ive talked to and payed for the service which is very different depending on city area, they seem to think it has and they may be right as it is a good idea thats why nitrogen is sold.
many people dont know why people do this and it is because nitrogen molecules are greater in size on a microscopic level and this causes them not to be affected by temperature changes. nitrogen molecules expand and contract at different rates while oxygen is greatly affected at different rates.
so from my experience with nitrogen i feel really no difference while driving but i am a avid checker of my tire pressures and with nitrogen it hasn't dropped more than 2 psi over two months even with the extreme cold . so if you check and have the ability to air up your tires from an air compressor i would just stick to oxygen. but if you live in a apartment building and so on where you don't always get to have those opportunities i would suggest the nitrogen to help keep your tire pressures up to factory spec to help with tire wear and gas mileage.
also on a little side note but i like to fill my spare tire up with nitrogen as i really never check that tire unless on going on a big trip.
so thank you this is joetheautoguy and you can check my channel out on youtube at www.youtube.com/user/joemakinmoney
