Spotting coolant leaks on your vehicle is never a settling feeling. I urge you to not use coolant leak sealer to stop a leak!!
It's easy to use some sort of stop leak in a can, because depending on what's leaking coolant it can almost cost big to repair the leak. And so that can of stop leak seems like the magic fix.
Speaking from experience as a auto guy and technician I can tell you that stop leak does fix stuff occasionally. And that’s a very short fix. Usually ends up being a bigger problem later. It usually causes your radiator and heater core to clog up and end up having your vehicle overheat.
So, eventually, not only will you have to repair the leak by replacing the part that's leaking coolant anyways , but you may also need to replace major system parts thus making this 'cheap fix in a can' an expensive one!
So honestly I would stay away from the. simple fix
